The Le Chéile Schools Trust is a collaborative trust involving fourteen religious congregations who wish to affirm their commitment to the future of Catholic Education in Ireland and to work in partnership with the Government in the Education system. The Le Chéile vision is based on Gospel values and has at its centre a philosophy of education based on the unique dignity of the human person created in the image and likeness of God. This vision reflects the rich heritage of the founding congregations in providing for the needs of the students and communities in its schools. The establishment of the Le Chéile Schools Trust marks a significant moment when lay people are assuming still more responsibility for Catholic education. The Le Chéile Charter sets out the mission and vision for our schools and can be viewed on the website http://www.lecheiletrust.ie/
The Ursulines in Ireland have become part of this Trust since September 1, 2012 and this was marked on October 22, 2012 at a special prayer service on the Feast of St Ursula in Thurles.
