The library in UCT is open every lunchtime for all. The dedicated team of TY librarians and Ms. Doherty are there every Monday and Wednesday from 1.30-2.00. If students would like to take out books then, they are very welcome and the team are always on hand to help pick the perfect read. English class groups also attend our well stocked library with their class teacher throughout the year.
We also run Junior and Senior Book Clubs, which meet once a month to discuss new releases and bestsellers. The students decide which books they would like to read, Ms Doherty sources them from John Butler, our local bookseller in "Bookworm", in Thurles. The girls then meet up the following month to discuss the book, and select a new one.
