Essay Writing Competition
Congratulations to Ursuline’s Róisìn Astwood, TY, who came third in Ireland in an Irish essay writing competition. Róisìn wrote about her sporting hero Cork Camogie Star and All Ireland winner, Anna Geary. It was quite an accomplishment with Róisìn facing some tough competition with many submissions from Gaelscoileanna around the country. Well done to Róisìn on her fantastic win.
Gael Linn Public Speaking
Katie Healy, Ursuline Third Year who reached the All Ireland Semi Final of Gael Linn Public Speaking Competition 2021, received her trophy last week. Congratulations to Katie on doing so well and representing the School with such distinction.
Ursuline TY Car Wash
On Thursday, 13 May, TY Room 31 did a teachers car wash in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital. It was hard work as many cars hadn’t seen sight of a sponge and soapy water in quite a while. But the elbow grease was certainly worth it with students raising over €600 for a great cause. Well done to the whole class on their fundraising drive and teamwork.
