Leaving Cert Class, 2026

Congratulations to the Ursuline Leaving Cert class of 2026 on the brilliant results they received on Friday, 21 August. Rosie Bradish achieved the maximum of 625 points, a phenomenal accomplishment. On foot of the CAO offers that came out last week many will be heading onto college or further education and training in the weeks ahead and all their former teachers wish them the best of luck in this new, exciting phase of their lives.

First Years

It was a new beginning for the Ursuline First Years who started on Friday, 28 August. They had a full day meeting their class tutors, getting their books and lockers organised, going on a tour of the school and generally getting a flavour of what Secondary School has in store for them. In the afternoon the PE teachers organised a fun sports filled few hours where team games and camaraderie tasks hopefully helped them to settle in and get to know one another a little better.

Equestrian

Ursuline Sixth Year student Carla Williamson represented Ireland as part of the FEI Eventing Youth European Championships which was on last week in Segersjö, Sweden. Congratulations to Carla and the rest of the Irish youth team who took the silver medal spot at this premier European Eventing competition.

Hockey

The Ursuline had a number of students representing Munster in the prestigious Interprovincial Competition in Dublin last weekend. Aoife Fanning and Leah O’Connell, TY, were part of the Munster U16 Squad. The Munster U18 team included Sarah Spain, TY, Katya Shorten, Fifth Year and Gabrielle Morrissey, Fifth Year. Katya scored the winning shuttle in the U18 game between Munster and Connacht. This U18 team also beat Leinster. Well done to all those who proudly togged out for their province and their school.
